Walking around Whole Foods with Jordan led to our deciding against buying their already-made, delicious Cowboy Burgers, and instead creating our own Garlic Mia-Burger. We walked around the store as I picked up a variety of goods.
Ingredients
Prep: 10 Minutes
Cook: 3 Minutes each side, depends on your stove
Makes: 2 Servings
Ground beef (lean- 8% fat content)
Chives
Garlic (Jordan and I both like a LOT. 1/2 teaspoon each)
Ground pepper (to taste)
Sea Salt
Jalapenos
one 1/2 shallot peeled and diced
2 tablespoons Feta cheese (in each)
I balled the beef, then stuffed the inside with the above ingredients. Once it was sufficiently stuffed I stretched the meat out and folded it a few times so as to mix the ingredients throughout. Then, of course, topped off with a little bit more garlic.
This was the result.
While those were being prepared, Jordan opened a bottle of Washington wine. He topped the bottle with an aerator and after letting the wine oxidize a bit, it had a great, full-bodied aroma. This Chateau St. Michelle Merlot has sweet undertones of cherry and even some herbal notes. Very yummy.
After a few glasses of wine, 5 minutes (on each side of the burger) in the broiler, and the application of a few condiments (Colby cheese included), we started eating. It was so good that we even forgot to take a picture…until about half-way through.
We loved reading about your food and travels. I am going to try your mac and cheese.
Love You
